What does Chiron in the fourth house mean?

There are 12 houses in astrology. We can learn about our influences at birth by looking at which house Chiron was in.

Each house defines an area of your life.

Since we’ve learned a bit about Chiron and what he represents (The Wounded Healer), we can look at which house he arrived in at your birth and get a good understanding of the area of your life that may contain your core wound.

This is the area that will come up for review at mid-life and your Chiron Return.

What have you done during the first half of your life to acknowledge and address this area of wounding?

What continues to be a block, issue or area of aggravation? What’s up for review?

It’s nothing personal, just Chiron pointing out where healing is still to be done.

Chiron in the fourth house.

Home is where the fourth house is.

Roots, family, home. These all live here.

Tell me about your mother. Your relationship with the maternal is wrapped up in this house.

Does your house feel like a home? If not, what can you do to make it so? This need not be expensive. It might be time to freshen family photos in their frames. Or go through the old storage bins, honour the items within and either put them to use or donate them.

Do you feel rooted in your home? Is there space to relax and enjoy? Is there a room or quiet corner where you can meditate, read, play music create art, tell stories or snuggle with a loved one?

What needs healing in your relationship with your mother? Where is there still room for forgiveness or an opportunity for gratitude?

Here, you are given the opportunity to dive deep into childhood emotions, acknowledge them and come into a healing relationship with them.

This inquiry can go deeper than Mom. You can explore your connection to grandmothers, ancestors and even homelands. Perhaps you start writing about your roots, or cataloging old photos, or organizing your mother’s or grandmother’s recipes.

Maybe you even get creative about what home is to you: a tiny home, loft, hotel suite, shared accommodation, cabin in the woods or a mansion.

Let’s talk creature comforts. What are yours? Is it having 3 oversized pillows on your bed, fairy lights sparkling in the living room, lavender in the bath or a great Netflix series and your favourite tea?

Who are you when you’re at home?

At this mid-point in your life, your Chiron Return, perhaps your home needs a refresh or a good cleaning. Perhaps it’s time to seek a home that is more reflective of you.

How can you invite more loving energy into your home?

A balanced home allows for balanced emotions.

How do you show up in your home? Do you control the family affairs or allow every member a voice?

Ask Chiron to guide you in making your home a haven.

I wonder what Chiron’s home looks like. I feel like it involves a bed of straw and one of those night lights that projects stars onto the ceiling.

Much love,

Stephanie
