What does Chiron in the ninth house mean?

There are 12 houses in astrology. We can learn about our influences at birth by looking at which house Chiron was in.

Each house defines an area of your life.

Since we’ve learned a bit about Chiron and what he represents (The Wounded Healer), we can look at which house he arrived in at your birth and get a good understanding of the area of your life that may contain your core wound.

This is the area that will come up for review at mid-life and your Chiron Return.

What have you done during the first half of your life to acknowledge and address this area of wounding?

What continues to be a block, issue or area of aggravation? What’s up for review?

It’s nothing personal, just Chiron pointing out where healing is still to be done.

Chiron in the ninth house.

Philosophy, spirituality and higher learning all hang out in this house.

I think Einstein would’ve been happy here.

Discovery, invention… Eureka!

I’ve always believed science and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. While many may argue they’re at odds with one another, they have a shared core purpose: They both seek the truth.

And they both prompt curiosity, exploration, wonder and a longing to understand.

You may also find the themes of law and travel here.

Studies abroad? Perfect combination under the ninth house. What would you like to know more about? Is it time to go back to school, take a course or sign up for a mentorship?

Perhaps your perfect pairing involves an ashram and soul-searching.

Or maybe you’re studying online in order to finally learn how to start that business of yours.

Was religion or spirituality a sore spot in your childhood? Did you have questions or a need to better understand or challenge your beliefs? Now is the time to explore any limiting beliefs and expand your awareness, knowledge and experience. To borrow from Star Trek…

Go where no (wo)man has gone before.

This is the house where you realize everything is connected. Chiron Return expands your perspective and awareness of this truth. But don’t take my word for it. In this house, you explore what you believe to be true. What’s the greater wisdom or higher knowledge involved?

Publishing lives here. Perhaps you’re starting to share your higher knowledge with others in the form of books, blog posts or articles. Or maybe you help someone else to get their message out.

Find your people and spark up inspired conversations about enlightened topics. What is possible?

This is the house that shows you where your good karma is working for you.

There’s much to love about the ninth house. You get to challenge and choose what you believe in. And it doesn’t have to agree with anyone else. Oh, and you get to change your beliefs as you go.

Today, I believe in Chiron. Tomorrow, it could be flying unicorns. I’ll know when tomorrow comes.

Much love,

Stephanie
